Join us for a virtual Business Essential Skills Training Series: Layered Event Security - Best Practices on September 17 presented by Zack Sullivan, IOM, ACE, the CEO and founder of Zactus Creative, LLC. 

Event planning is a fun and rewarding experience, but it comes with risks and challenges as planners work to deliver memorable and safe events for attendees to enjoy. Financial constraints often amplify the challenges of establishing proactive event security. This presentation will review best practices in public event safety and security. The presentation will include a brief review of incidents, collaborating with local stakeholders, establishing a chain of command, communicating clearly, operations planning, available and cost-effective safety resources, and a review of best practices in action. A Q & A session will follow. 

This presentation is best suited for event planners, community leaders, non-profits, and volunteers who are interested in the subject. This event is free for DeKalb Chamber members.
