Heavy Metal Summer Experience

The DeKalb Chamber Foundation is pleased to partner with DeKalb Mechanical to offer the first Heavy Metal Summer Experience in DeKalb, IL. The program offers hands on experience to possible careers in the trades to local high school students ages 15 to 19.

The Heavy Metal Summer Experience offers students a unique pathway into much needed trade careers, making it an incredibly worthy cause for community support. We are looking for individuals and local organizations to join us as partners to help make this summer experience one that can change lives and move our industry forward. The program is free for students that are selected and they get great experiences, boots, PPE, tools, and more. Your support will go towards supplies, food, experiences and more.
