Thursday, July 16, 2026 (5:15 PM - 6:15 PM) (CDT)

Description

Come be a part of the big celebration – America’s 250th Anniversary! We will be cutting a ribbon on Thursday, July 16th at 5:15pm, during the DeKalb Famers Market’s Extend Hours, to celebrate the installation of Elisa Boughner’s, local artist and owner of Artifex Studio, hanging lanterns in the pass-through between her building and the DeKalb Plaza. Join us on the North part of the walkway (in Palmer Court, closest to the Farmers Market) to cut the ribbon and learn more about this America 250 DeKalb art project brought to the community by the City of DeKalb.

The DeKalb Farmers Market Extend Hours on Thursday, July 16th go from 12pm-6pm in Van Buer Plaza. We welcome you to shop and eat while you are at the market!

Please arrive early to participate in the 5:15pm ribbon cutting.
