Join us for Campus Meets Community On the Campus of Northern Illinois University Wednesday, September 4, 2024!

DeKalb-area restaurants, retail operations, service providers and nonprofits are invited to participate in this beloved campus/community engagement event. 

Campus Meets Community is a block party-style event where community businesses and organizations are invited to connect, welcome and promote local business and resources to NIU students, faculty and staff.

Campus Meets Community takes place in conjunction with NIU’s Involvement Fair and Food Truck Wednesdays resulting in a well-attended and fun atmosphere. For just $55, each participating business or nonprofit is provided with a table, chairs and a parking pass making the event easy and fun to attend. 

Community businesses and nonprofits are invited to pass out information, promotional items, samples, prizes and other items to attendees. This is our community’s premiere opportunity to welcome new and returning students as well as our faculty and staff to the DeKalb area, make them feel at home here in DeKalb and make them aware of your business or organization.
