Financial Fitness: Understanding Credit Scores and Reports

Description

Participants will learn how to access and understand their own credit reports and discover what it says about their credit health. They will find out what is a good credit score, and will learn how opening and closing credit accounts, late payments and collections can affect their scores.

 

Financial Fitness is a series of free, in-person, interactive workshops to help people improve their financial wellbeing. The workshops will address topics related to saving & spending, credit & debt, and more. Topics have been chosen based on input from the local community; the emphasis and focus will be modified to meet the specific needs of attendees.

 

Children are welcome at these sessions; snacks will be provided.

 

This series of workshops is supported financially by the Alfred Bersted Foundation, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee, sponsored by Habitat for Humanity of DeKalb County and the DeKalb Public Library, and presented by experts from Old National Bank.

 

No registration is required. These workshops are intended for adults.
