For What It’s Worth: A Tribute to Stephen Stills in Song & Story

Friday, July 18, 2025 (6:30 PM - 7:30 PM) (CDT)

Description

Stephen Stills, co-founder of the supergroups Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Manassas, has been a musical icon since he first came on the scene in the 1960s. He is a multiple Grammy winner and the only person to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice on the same night, for Crosby, Stills, & Nash and Buffalo Springfield.

This after-hours concert will bring many of Stills' iconic songs to life and will give a brief history of Stephens' career.

Barry Cloyd, creator of the show, was fortunate to have seen Crosby, Stills, and & Nash’s first live performance on their first tour, in Chicago, the day before Woodstock in 1969. Stills' passionate songwriting and amazing guitar playing has always been at the top of Barrys' list. Accompanying Barry for this show will be TJ Jones (percussion and Blues harp), Tom Abbot (guitar and vocals), and Sarah Arter (fiddle and vocals). In addition, Barry has had the privilege of recording and sharing the stage with several of Stills' bandmates over the years.

This concert is free and open to all. It is sponsored by the Rick Johns Memorial Fund. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and music will begin at 6:30 p.m.
