UUCD  Indoor Farmers Market with Artisan Crafts & More: A Festive Fundraiser for New Roof

Saturday, February 14, 2026 (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM) (CST)

Description

The UUCD Winter Markets are the perfect time to take care of your Valentine's Day shopping, or just for-the-fun-of-it shopping in a festive environment. The market features humanely-raised, hormone-free pork, poultry, lamb, grass-fed beef, and organic eggs, sausage, and cheese from the Hasselmann Family Farm in Marengo, IL. Other popular food products include locally-raised honey, lunch soup, bread, pastries, and beverages provided by UUCD volunteers. We also have a luncheon seating area where you can leisurely eat and converse with your friends and family. Local artisans will also be selling their handcrafted jewelry, woven hats and gloves, handcrafted soap, aprons, purses, wood crafts, artwork and photography, crystals and gems, used books, plants, aromatherapy, and much much more. Live music from local musicians is provided throughout the day to add to the festive ambiance. This year 100% of UUCD proceeds from the market will go towards replacing its roof. The roof is over 50 years old. Leaks are being repaired in greater numbers and with less and less success. Lately the roofing companies have been unable to guarantee a leak free roof unless it is totally replaced.
