Hello DeKalb!

About a year after graduating from NIU, I started working for the Worlds largest manufacturer and installer of industrial flooring systems.  I have been in the industry now for over 25 years and have had a key role in some of the largest, and most high profile projects in the world, including the Motorola Semiconductor facility, and Glaxo-Smith Kline Pharmaceutical Facility, Sanmina-SCI PCB manufacturing and more.  

I started Concrete Slab Techs with my Brother, so that we can limit our travel away, and stay close to home to spend quality time with our families as our kids are growing up. (Way too quickly.)

We bring with us a tremendous amount of experience and apply it every day to help manufacturing facilities solve their unique challenges.  Each production area requires a tailored approach to make sure a flooring system can withstand the conditions of the environment. 

Some important considerations are:

• Traffic Conditions, Wheel type and load
• Impact, abrasion
• Operating Temperatures (Freezers, cold storage, high temp bakery)
• Sanitation Procedures, temperature fluctuations such as thermal shock
• Chemical and acid exposures, time of exposure, temperature and concentration of chemicals
• Primary and secondary containment requirements
• Concrete substrate integrity, stabilization, structural repairs
• Static dissipative flooring requirements, or explosion hazard, conductive flooring requirements
