Founded in 1972, Fox Valley Community Services has a long history of services that support independent living for seniors. In the years to follow, programs and services were added with the goal of keeping seniors in their homes in the four-county area that we serve and to provide a cost effective viable alternative for community members who were concerned about premature nursing home residency. Our service area now includes DeKalb, LaSalle, Kendall and Kane Counties. We provide programs and services that are open to anyone who wants to attend. We target those who are 60+ as they move toward the retirement years of their lives. This no longer means slowing down—it means learning more about aging positively and creatively.
